The THIEL SS2 SmartSub is a very high performance, innovative subwoofer system that provides exceptionally deep, uniform, dynamic and low distortion bass reproduction. In addition, it provides near-ideal performance with any room placement. The THIEL SS2 powered subwoofer designed for reproducing the "point one" channel in a home theater system. The SS2 can also be used with either the companion SmartSub Integrator or with the PX02 or PX05 Passive Subwoofer Crossovers to allow reproduction of the bass range of the other audio channels.
Note: No built-in crossover --- must be used with a receiver with an LFE output or the THIEL PX05 passive crossover

This used pro audio subwoofer has been tested. The item was plugged in and turned on. No audio was run through the subwoofer to determine if its fully operational.
