Applications

The HD50 50-pin Micro-D SCSI connector was Sun Microsystems' standard external SCSI interface on SPARCstation, Ultra, and Enterprise-class systems through the 1990s and into the early 2000s. Sun used this connector form factor on hosts and external peripherals across a wide range of its workstation and server product lines, including the SPARCstation 5, SPARCstation 20, Ultra 1, Ultra 2, and various Enterprise rack servers. This cable type connects external SCSI storage enclosures, DAT tape autoloaders, DDS/DLT tape drives, and CD-ROM jukeboxes directly to the Sun SCSI host adapter port. System administrators maintaining legacy Sun SPARC hardware for ongoing production or archival work frequently need replacement or additional SCSI cables of this type, as original Sun-branded cables have become increasingly scarce.

Condition: Used
This Sun 530-1793-02 SCSI Cable with male HD50 connectors has been inspected and is in good used condition. It was pulled from a working Sun environment where it was previously in service. The cable jacket shows some light soiling and the part number label shows typical age-related wear consistent with normal use — both visible in our photos. The HD50 connectors appear intact with no bent or missing pins. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
