This is a constant voltage transformer also called a regulating transformer. It can accept an unregulated input voltage of 95 thru 130 volts or 190 thru 260 volts depending on input voltage selection. The output voltage is then held at a constant 118 volts at up to 250 volt-amp output. So this can be used as a step down regulating transformer from a 240 volt line down to 118 volts or a 1:1 regulating transformer for 120 volt unregulated to 118 volts regulated.
