  • Manufactured for Litton Systems by Pernicka Corporation for the
    US Navy & USAF to fill Ring Laser Gyroscopes (RLG) and
    Zero Lock Ring Laser Gyroscopes (ZLG)
  • Northrop Grumman produced three systems based on the RLG
    Gyros and a next generation system on the ZLG Gyros:
    LN-92 third-generation Navy Standard Carrier Aircraft Inertial
    Navigation System (CAINS II)
    LN-93 second-generation USAF Standard Inertial Navigation
    System SNU-84-1
    LN-94, designed specifically for the F-15 Strike Eagle
    LN-195 under the USAF Advanced Inertial Measurement
    Unit Concepts (AICON) Sled Test Program
  • Provides engineering and fixtures for a sixteen port station to refill
    and recertify the Litton Satellite Navigation Ring Laser Gyros
    being pulled from service.
  • Process is to attach the Ring Gyro, pull a vacuum and refill with
    Nitrogen or similar gas.
  • Unit can be refitted for Honeywell Gyros as well as other Ring
    Laser Gyroscopes.
  • All unique, custom and hybrid systems are intact.
  • The original cost of this unit exceeded $500,000.
  • Various Pfeiffer Turbo Pumps (TMU260, TMU170, TMU065), four
    Bertran 210-05R Power Supplies and two Granville Phillips 280
    Vacuum Controller, all readily available in the market, have
    been pulled from the unit.
