Manufactured for Litton Systems by Pernicka Corporation for the US Navy & USAF to fill Ring Laser Gyroscopes (RLG) and Zero Lock Ring Laser Gyroscopes (ZLG) Northrop Grumman produced three systems based on the RLG Gyros and a next generation system on the ZLG Gyros: LN-92 third-generation Navy Standard Carrier Aircraft Inertial Navigation System (CAINS II) LN-93 second-generation USAF Standard Inertial Navigation System SNU-84-1 LN-94, designed specifically for the F-15 Strike Eagle LN-195 under the USAF Advanced Inertial Measurement Unit Concepts (AICON) Sled Test Program Provides engineering and fixtures for a sixteen port station to refill and recertify the Litton Satellite Navigation Ring Laser Gyros being pulled from service. Process is to attach the Ring Gyro, pull a vacuum and refill with Nitrogen or similar gas. Unit can be refitted for Honeywell Gyros as well as other Ring Laser Gyroscopes. All unique, custom and hybrid systems are intact. The original cost of this unit exceeded $500,000. Various Pfeiffer Turbo Pumps (TMU260, TMU170, TMU065), four Bertran 210-05R Power Supplies and two Granville Phillips 280 Vacuum Controller, all readily available in the market, have been pulled from the unit.
