Applications
The EAB401P speakers were designed as multimedia desktop speakers for personal computers during the 1990s, a period when integrated PC audio was becoming standard and compact powered speakers were a popular add-on for Windows and multimedia CD-ROM systems. They connect to the headphone or line-out jack of a PC, Mac, or consumer electronics device and are powered by a small external AC adapter rather than an amplifier. Today they remain usable as compact desktop speakers for any device with a standard audio output, and are also of interest to collectors and enthusiasts of 1990s-era PC hardware and peripherals.
This Panasonic EAB401P powered multimedia speaker pair has been tested and is in working condition. As older speakers, they may benefit from some minor adjustment or cleaning to perform at their best. The units show the normal cosmetic aging you'd expect from vintage desktop speakers — the beige plastic has the typical light yellowing of the era. No AC adapter and no cables are included; you will need a 6VDC 500mA power supply to operate them. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
