Description

Nicolet Biomedical Viking Select EMG Electromyograph Neuro Diagnostic System v7.5

The Nicolet Biomedical Viking Select is a complete, integrated electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction study (NCS) workstation designed for clinical neurophysiology. The system combines a dedicated signal acquisition amplifier, an isolated electrical stimulator, a purpose-built control panel, a host CPU, and display into a single self-contained mobile cart — everything a neurophysiology lab needs to perform EMG, NCS, and evoked potential studies from one unit. This listing includes all major components as photographed and described below.

Applications

The Viking Select is a neurophysiology workstation used in neurology clinics, hospital EMG labs, and academic medical centers to perform electrodiagnostic studies. Electromyography (EMG) measures the electrical activity of muscles by inserting needle electrodes and recording motor unit action potentials, while nerve conduction studies (NCS) use surface electrodes and a controlled electrical stimulus to measure the speed and amplitude of nerve signals — together these two tests are the core of electrodiagnostic medicine for evaluating conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome, peripheral neuropathy, ALS, and radiculopathy. The Viking platform was Nicolet Biomedical's primary clinical EMG system from the mid-1990s through the 2000s, with the Viking Select representing the mid-range cart-based configuration; Nicolet Biomedical later became part of Viasys Healthcare and subsequently Cardinal Health / Natus Medical. The integrated cart design — with the amplifier on a positioning arm positioned close to the patient, the stimulator probe on a side mount, and the CPU/display together — was the standard configuration for a busy clinical EMG suite. Systems like this are typically acquired by neurology practices setting up or expanding EMG capabilities, by facilities maintaining legacy Nicolet workflows, or by research and educational institutions. Condition: Used
This Nicolet Biomedical Viking Select EMG Electromyograph system is being sold in used condition. It has not been powered up or tested at our facility, but it was pulled from a working medical environment where it was previously in use. The system appears complete as shown in the photos, with all major components present on the mobile cart. Normal cosmetic wear consistent with clinical use is visible throughout — some yellowing of plastic surfaces and minor soiling on the cart. Please note that this is an FDA-regulated medical device and its sale may be subject to federal and state regulations; it is the buyer's responsibility to ensure they are an authorized purchaser. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
