Applications

The 100MB Zip drive was a widely used removable storage format introduced by Iomega in the mid-1990s. IDE/ATAPI internal versions like this NEC FZ110A were factory-installed in many Dell desktops of the late 1990s and early 2000s, providing a convenient way to transfer, archive, and back up files at a time when CD burners were expensive and hard drive capacities were relatively small. Zip drives were standard equipment in graphic design, publishing, and photography workflows of that era, and Zip disks were a common media exchange format across those industries. Today these drives are sought by users maintaining legacy Dell desktop systems, those accessing archived Zip disk collections, and vintage computing enthusiasts. This drive uses standard Iomega 100MB Zip disks and is compatible with Windows 98, ME, 2000, and XP, all of which include native Zip drive support.
