The Mitsui Chemicals Tohcello RC02B-45T is an ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) encapsulant sheet specifically formulated for solar panel lamination. It is used to bond and protect photovoltaic cells within a module stack, sandwiched between the front glass or film, the cell layer, and the rear backsheet. This is a full production roll measuring 1200mm wide by 140m long, suitable for high-volume PV module manufacturing.

Applications
EVA encapsulant film is a core material in solar panel manufacturing. During the lamination process, the EVA sheet is placed on both sides of the photovoltaic cell string and thermally bonded under heat and vacuum to form a sealed, weatherproof module. The encapsulant protects cells from moisture, mechanical stress, and UV degradation over the module's service life. Mitsui Chemicals Tohcello is a well-known Japanese supplier of SOLAR EVA™ films used by module manufacturers worldwide in the production of both rigid glass-glass and glass-backsheet PV modules, as well as flexible thin-film panel constructions. The RC02B-45T grade is designed for standard lamination processes and is suitable for use with crystalline silicon and flexible cell technologies.
