This is an original Kurta puck (cursor) for the IS/ONE 12x12 digitizing tablet. The puck serves as the primary pointing and selection input device for the tablet, allowing users to precisely position the crosshair and send button commands to the host system. It connects to the tablet via an 8-pin mini-DIN cable and features four color-coded buttons arranged in a cross pattern around a central optical crosshair window.

The IS/ONE series was among their most recognized product lines, used in professional design studios, architectural firms, and engineering departments as an alternative to Calcomp and GTCO digitizers of the same era. The puck was the standard cursor device for these tablets, preferred over a stylus in applications where precise coordinate entry mattered — such as tracing maps, technical drawings, or printed artwork into CAD software like AutoCAD. Today these pucks are primarily sought by hobbyists, collectors, and users maintaining legacy Kurta tablet setups.
This Kurta IS/ONE 12x12 Graphics Tablet puck has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. The housing shows normal age-related wear consistent with prior use — light scuffs and discoloration typical of this era of equipment. The four color-coded buttons (blue, pink, yellow, and green) are present and intact, and the optical crosshair window is clear. The attached cable is intact with no visible fraying, and the 8-pin mini-DIN connector appears undamaged.
