Applications
The Pentium II was Intel's mainstream desktop and workstation processor from 1997 through the late 1990s, succeeding the Pentium Pro and introducing the SEC cartridge form factor that plugged into a Slot 1 motherboard. The 350MHz SL37F variant was among the faster Pentium II speeds available and was paired with Intel 440BX, 440LX, and 440EX chipset motherboards in desktop PCs and entry-level workstations of the era. These processors were widely used in corporate desktops, CAD workstations, and home enthusiast systems running Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT 4.0. Today the Pentium II remains sought after by vintage PC restorers and retro computing enthusiasts building or maintaining late-1990s systems. A compatible Slot 1 heatsink and fan will be needed for operation.
This Intel Pentium II SL37F 350MHz Slot 1 processor has been tested at our facility and is in good working condition. It was pulled from a working system where it was actively in use. The SEC cartridge housing shows normal cosmetic wear consistent with its age. No heatsink or fan is included — the CPU cartridge only.
