Description

Inmac 11 Mini-T-Switch Manual A/B Data Transfer Switch DB25 Parallel

The Inmac 11 Mini-T-Switch is a manual A/B parallel data transfer switch that allows one peripheral — typically a printer or other parallel-port device — to be shared between two computers, or one computer to be connected to two peripherals. Switching is accomplished manually via front-panel rotary selector knobs, with no external power required. The unit is housed in a compact, all-aluminum enclosure and was made in the USA.

Applications

Manual A/B data transfer switches like the Inmac 11 were widely used from the 1980s through the early 2000s in offices and small businesses that needed to share a single parallel-port printer or plotter among multiple computers without a network. They were equally useful for connecting one workstation to two different parallel peripherals and toggling between them. The parallel port (DB25) interface was the dominant printer connection standard of that era, used on IBM PCs and compatibles before USB became ubiquitous. While USB has largely replaced parallel connectivity in modern computing, these switches remain useful in legacy environments — industrial facilities, manufacturing lines, older CAD/CAM workstations, and any setting still running equipment with Centronics or DB25 parallel interfaces. The Inmac brand was a well-regarded supplier of computer peripherals and accessories through this period, and their Mini-T-Switch line was a popular choice for cost-effective peripheral sharing.

Condition: Used
This Inmac 11 Mini-T-Switch manual A/B parallel data transfer switch has been visually inspected and appears to be in good used condition. The aluminum enclosure shows light surface wear consistent with age and prior use. The front-panel A/B selector and AA port knobs are present and intact, and the four rear DB25 connectors appear clean with no bent or broken pins visible in the photos. It was not powered up or bench-tested at our facility, but comes from a previously operational environment. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
