The HP J2602A is a modular 48-port 10Base-T Ethernet hub from Hewlett-Packard's AdvanceStack networking line. It accommodates up to four J2605A 12-Port Modulator Adapters (all four included) to deliver a total of 48 RJ-45 Ethernet ports in a single rackmount chassis. The hub features an out-of-band management section on the front-left panel with RS-232 (DB-9) console, AUI (DB-15), and ThinLAN (BNC) connections for network management access independent of the data ports. Internal processing is handled by an Intel i960 controller on the main PCB.

The HP AdvanceStack J2602A is a mid-1990s 10Base-T Ethernet hub designed for departmental and campus LAN deployments during the era when shared 10 Mbps Ethernet was the standard for office and institutional networking.
