Description
EyeDentify 7.5 HB Rev H Biometric Retinal Scanner Identification System 120V
The EyeDentify 7.5 HB is a biometric retinal identification terminal that identifies individuals by reading the unique vascular pattern of the retina. The user positions their eye at the eyepiece aperture; the unit scans the retinal pattern and compares it against enrolled records to grant or deny access. Manufactured in June 1989 by EyeDentify Inc. of Portland, Oregon — a pioneer in retinal biometric technology.

Applications
Retinal scanners of this era were among the most accurate biometric identification technologies available, used primarily in high-security environments where positive individual identification was critical. The EyeDentify System 7.5 was deployed by government agencies, law enforcement facilities, defense contractors, and secure research installations throughout the late 1980s and into the 1990s. The terminal connects to an access control host system via its Terminal and Auxiliary ports, allowing it to serve as an enrollment or verification station at a secured entry point. EyeDentify Inc. was one of the earliest commercial producers of retinal biometric systems, and the System 7.5 series represented the state of the art in that technology during its time. Today these units are sought by collectors of vintage biometric and security technology, as well as by historians and museums documenting the development of modern identity verification systems.
This EyeDentify 7.5 HB Rev H Biometric Retinal Scanner was pulled from a working environment and appears to be in good used condition. The housing shows normal wear consistent with its 1989 manufacture date. The numeric keypad, LED display, rear Terminal and Auxiliary ports, and terminal block connections all appear intact and undamaged in our photos. No manual or peripherals are included — the unit ships alone. Please review our full photo set and contact us with any questions before purchasing.
