Corex BCROIOG CardScan Business Card Scanner Reader 8-Pin DIN
The Corex BCROIOG is a desktop business card scanner designed to digitize and capture contact information from paper business cards. It connects via an 8-pin DIN interface and was a popular tool in office environments for contact management and database building during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Applications
Business card scanners like the Corex BCROIOG were standard equipment in corporate offices, sales departments, and professional services firms during the late 1990s and 2000s. They were used to rapidly convert printed business cards into digital contact records, eliminating manual data entry and building portable contact databases for CRM and contact management systems. While smartphone apps and modern scanning solutions have largely replaced dedicated card scanners, these units remain useful for legacy environments, archival digitization projects, or retro office setups. The 8-pin DIN connection indicates an era of specialized office peripherals before USB became standard.
