This is a desktop AC power control center with six individually switched and labeled outlets, designed to let a user power on and off a computer workstation's peripherals from a single centralized panel. The front face features six illuminated rocker switches — labeled AUX2, AUX1, Printer, Monitor, Computer, and Master — each with an amber or red indicator light. The rear panel carries five NEMA 5-15R outlets labeled to match the front switches, plus an inlet for the attached AC line cord.

Applications
Switched power control centers like this were a standard desktop accessory throughout the 1980s and into the early 1990s, when personal computer workstations typically consisted of several separate components — the system unit, monitor, printer, and one or two auxiliary devices — each with its own power switch. Rather than reaching behind each piece of equipment individually, users plugged all their peripherals into a power control center and used the labeled front-panel switches to turn each device on or off from one convenient location. The Master switch cut power to all outlets simultaneously. Units of this type were commonly used alongside IBM PC, XT, and AT-class systems and their compatibles, as well as with Apple II and early Macintosh setups. Today these units are collected as vintage computing accessories and occasionally still pressed into service in retro computing setups or workshop benches where independent outlet switching is useful.
This Computer Power Control Center (15A, 125V, 6-switch) has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. The beige steel enclosure shows light surface wear consistent with age and prior desktop use, but there are no cracks, breaks, or heavy damage visible. All six rocker switches and their indicator lights are present and intact. The unit was pulled from a working environment where it was previously in use.
