Okidata has introduced its OL600e series of 6-ppm, 600-dpi, LED-technology page printers (the 600e, 610e and 610e/PS), which are designed for small businesses and home offices.
All models are compatible with DOS and Windows (including Windows 95). The 610e/PS is also Macintosh compatible.
The OL610e/PS PostScript Level 2 printer features Adobe Memory Booster technology (using banding and data compression), which enables the standard 2.5 MB of memory to operate like 5 MB of effective memory.
The 610e/PS comes with 37 of Adobe?s Type 1 fonts, including two multiple master fonts, 35 PCL5e scalable fonts, ten TrueType fonts, a LocalTalk interface and a 25-MHz RISC processor.
Features. The 610e/PS prints the first copy in a fast 17 seconds.
A Power Save mode automatically reduces power usage to less than 15 watts when the printer is inactive.
Other features include on-screen DOS and Windows monitors and up to three paper sources totaling 450 sheets.
