The Power Center PC-006 is a desktop switched surge suppressor designed to sit under a computer monitor and provide individually switched AC power to a complete workstation setup. Six lighted toggle switches on the top panel — labeled MASTER, COMPUTER, MONITOR, PRINTER, AUX1, and AUX2 — control power to five corresponding NEMA 5-15R outlets on the rear panel. The MASTER switch cuts all power at once, while each individual switch lets you power devices on or off independently. Red LED indicators show which circuits are live at a glance.

Applications
The PC-006 was designed for the desktop personal computer workstation setups of the late 1980s and 1990s, when CRT monitors sat directly on top of units like this one — hence the flat, low-profile form factor. The labeled individual switches map directly to the peripheral devices common to that era: a desktop computer, CRT monitor, dot-matrix or laser printer, and two auxiliary devices such as an external hard drive, modem, or desk lamp. The master switch provided a single point to cut all workstation power at the end of the day. The built-in transient voltage surge suppression (rated to clamp at 330V per UL 1449) provides basic protection against voltage spikes on the AC line. Units like this are still useful today anywhere a simple switched multi-outlet power center with individual circuit control is needed — workbenches, hobby desks, small A/V setups, and legacy computer restorations.
