The Hewlett-Packard 4194A Impedance/Gain- Phase Analyzer is an integrated solution for efficient measurement and analysis or go/no-go testing of components and circuits. It features eleven Impedance and four Gain-Phase measurement functions and covers a frequency range of 100Hz to 40MHz for Impedance, and from 10Hz to 100MHz for Gain-Phase. The output level, with an adjustable DC bias level of +_40V, ranges from 10mV to 1V rms for Impedance, and from -65dBm to 15dBm for Gain-Phase. Frequency or OSC level or DC bias(only for Impedance measurements) can be selected as the sweep parameter. The basic measurement accuracy is 0.17% for Impedance and 0.1dB/0.5 deg for Gain-Phase. It makes high speed measurements (approximately 3.7ms per point), displays the results on a color CRT and performs quick analysis of the measurement data. Features of the HP4194A include, Compensation and Calibration functions, to ensure accurate and reliable measurements, Auto Sequence Program (ASP), dumping the display to a printer/plotter, program table for go/no-go testing, and the equivalent circuit mode.
