This device has 32 ports on one side and a common on the other side.
It is not totally gas tight to the selected port, but good enough for collecting samples.
The switch is driven by a bipolar stepper motor and a timing-belt gear.
The square outside is 1 x 1 ft (30.5 cm²) and 17 cm thick.
