Camino Labs V420-6 Intra-Cranial Pressure Monitor w/Waveform Display
The ICP monitor is made up of a small plastic tube(not included with the unit) that is placed into the brain for the purpose of measuring the pressure surrounding the brain. The tube is connected to the bedside monitor, which continuously shows the pressure surrounding the brain.
Patients who have sustained head trauma, brain hemorrhage, brain surgery, or conditions in which the brain may swell may require intracranial pressure monitoring. The purpose of ICP monitoring is to continuously measure the pressure surrounding the brain. If the pressure surrounding the brain gets too high, it can cause decreased blood flow to the brain and potentially lead to brain damage.
